Al-Taj News – The Jordan Chamber of Industry affirmed that the Jordanian-European Investment Conference represents an important milestone in moving economic relations between Jordan and the European Union from traditional trade cooperation toward deeper investment and production partnerships, contributing to strengthening manufacturing, technology transfer, added value, employment, and exports.
The chamber explained that the conference provides a platform to showcase the capabilities and potential reached by Jordanian industry, and to connect European investors and companies with the industrial opportunities available in the Kingdom, supporting the attraction of high-quality investments, the establishment of joint projects, the transfer of technology and expertise, the development of production and supply chains, and the strengthening of Jordanian industry’s integration into European value chains.
The Jordanian-European Investment Conference is scheduled to be held on November 19 in the Dead Sea area, under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II, with the participation of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, as part of the strategic and comprehensive partnership between Jordan and the European Union launched at the beginning of last year.
Jordan is entering an advanced stage of preparations for the conference through an investment opportunity portfolio worth nearly $15 billion, equivalent to approximately €13 billion, distributed across 15 sectors and subsectors, with the aim of turning the partnership with the European Union into actual investments and projects that support growth, provide job opportunities, and advance the implementation of the priorities of the Economic Modernization Vision.
